How to See Who Unfollowed You on Instagram

Your follower count dropped, but you have no idea who left. Instagram won’t tell you: there’s no unfollower list and no notification. All you get is a smaller number. So how do you find out who it was?

Why doesn’t Instagram show it?

Instagram only shows your follower list as it is right now — it doesn’t give you any history. That’s why every “unfollower” method boils down to the same thing: comparing your follower list at two different points in time.

Method 1: compare by hand

Save a copy of your follower list somewhere, then compare it against the current list later. Even with a few hundred followers this takes hours and is easy to get wrong. With thousands, it’s practically impossible.
